If you're on Instagram, odds are you've noticed a new addition to your feed: Reels. Last week, Instagram released Reels, a new feature that allows users to record and share short videos with added filters, effects and music. Sound familiar? Reels is Instagram's obvious attempt to compete with TikTok.
However, Reels isn't a separate app the way TikTok is. If your child has Instagram, they automatically have Reels. And like TikTok, Reels provides kids with reward-driven dopamine compulsions.
