A new study by the American Physiological Society significantly debunks the myth that e-cigarettes are safer than regular cigarettes.
The Food and Drug Administration Commissioner, Scott Gottlieb says "E-cigs have become an almost ubiquitous and dangerous trend among teens. The disturbing and accelerating trajectory of use we're seeing in youth, and the resulting path to addiction, must end. It's simply not tolerable."
This recent research shows that vapor alone harms the lungs, but the added flavor in e-cigs exacerbates the detrimental impact of vaping. Talk to your teens about their beliefs regarding e-cigs. Do they believe e-cigs are safe? Have they tried vaping or do their friends vape?
